Animals get injured in the course of daily life, and sometimes healing needs a bit of intervention. Animal physical therapy is a relatively new and rapidly growing paraveterinary field. From an initial physical therapy assessment, a therapist may recommend underwater treadmill work to strengthen muscles, laser therapy to reduce inflammation and aid healing, or further massage and home exercises. You can ask your vet which therapy may be of the most benefit to your pet.
